WSET Wine Professional Certifications are Not Legal in the USA

Currently, none of the WSET programs or its affiliated schools across the country have been properly licensed to offer professional training or certification. Even a wine school cannot run a professional training program without a state-issued license.

We are constantly updating this list, including links to the relevant criminal & civil statutes that the WSET-affiliated are violating. As we get updates on possible lawsuits and criminal cases against the WSET, we will post them here, too.

To protect your interests, you may need to file a complaint with your state’s Department of Education (or similar agency). We have supplied the relevant contact information in each link. If you are interested in possibly getting a refund of your WSET tuition, we strongly suggest you place a formal compliant.
